Stepney's Own Railway by J.E.Connor
A history of the London & Blackwall system. My intention in producing this book was to make it one which would be of interest to Londoners in general & not just railway enthusiasts.
In choosing the photographs for this book, I have tried to find as much unusual material as possible, and not fall back on those which have appeared in other publications. This has been quite difficult since the line seems to have attracted little attention from photographers and views of it are hard to come by.
I am always interested in finding out more about the railway and would be delighted to hear from readers who remember it, especially if they have pictures of stations and associated structures or indeed surviving tickets or other artifacts relevant to its history.
